Digital nostalgia

The video work Digital nostalgia consists of visual elements that refer to early online culture and devices. The material consists of recordings of VJ gigs, whereby the work, both in terms of its visuality and its format, addresses the transience of memory and the digital recording format. Many file treasures collected during the internet surfing of the 2000s have already disappeared by now, and even newer files may disappear into the cloud or become corrupted. Will nothing remain but nostalgia and pixel dust?
