1x1.gif

1x1.gif is an interactive piece that explores almost forgotten, hand-crafted web graphics from the late 90s and early 2000s. It highlights how even (or especially) pixels created in the digital age can disappear forever. The artwork allows the exhibition visitor to permanently modify its content: the visitor decides whether the pixels should be saved or permanently destroyed. Every decision is final.
