Roberto Fusco
Artist introduction
Based in Helsinki, media artist Roberto Fusco explores the formation of environmental perception through data collection, sensors, and simulations. His works make visible how computer processing shapes our way of experiencing the world.
In his work, which combines scientific and embodied knowledge, Fusco uses simulation to study natural phenomena, while the embodied approach guides the pieces towards poetic and speculative scenarios.
Having graduated with a Doctor of Science in Technology from Aalto University, Fusco's works have been widely exhibited since 2010 in various festivals and galleries, such as Ars Electronica, LUX Helsinki, Kuopio Art Museum, and Eyebeam in New York.
