Merle Karp
Artist introduction
Media artist and visual designer Merle Karp presents two video works in the exhibition. Her artistic practice stems from VJ art, in which she is also known by the name Folded Visuals. She is also a founding member and director of one of Europe's only active festivals focusing specifically on VJ culture, the biennial of audiovisual art and VJ culture, Aavistus Festival. Karp's work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, among other places, and she has worked as a resident VJ at both Flow Festival and the nightclub Kaiku.
